Sale, across the Bouregreg
Sale faces Rabat across the mouth of the Bouregreg river and keeps a genuine, less touristy medina. Highlights include the Great Mosque and the nearby Merinid madrasa, admired for its carved plaster and cedar wood. The old ramparts and the Bouregreg marina round off a visit. With a car you can switch between the two banks and enjoy Rabat too. The compact Range Rover Evoque copes well with busy streets; the Maserati Levante makes a statement.
Deposit, booking, return
Deposits start at 30,000 MAD, or 50,000 MAD for the Range Rover Sport Autobiography. To book, message +212 646 618 020 on WhatsApp with your dates, flight and model. Return the car during agency opening hours at the agreed point.
Sale and Rabat, two riverbanks in one day
Sale faces Rabat across the Bou Regreg river, and a single day is enough to enjoy both banks. In the morning, wander through the Sale medina around the Great Mosque and the Bab Mrisa gate, then head to the marina, where the view of the Kasbah of the Udayas is one of the finest in the region. In the afternoon, cross the river to visit the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, before returning to the Sale side for dinner by the water.
For these urban trips between two neighbouring cities, the Maserati Grecale strikes the right balance: a compact SUV size that slips easily through traffic, a refined cabin for business meetings, and an automatic gearbox that is welcome in the busy traffic around the bridges. Unlimited mileage means you can repeat the crossing as often as you like.
