Collect at Marrakech-Menara, arrive in Safi behind the wheel
Many travellers heading for Safi fly into Marrakech, so that is where we meet you: at Marrakech-Menara airport, with the car prepared and checked. You then drive to the ocean, enjoy your stay at your own pace and bring the car back to the same airport, or another agreed point, during agency opening hours. The fleet belongs to our Casablanca agency in Maarif, which organises every handover.
Safi, a city of pottery and Atlantic waves
Safi is famous across Morocco for its ceramics. The Potters’ Hill, with its workshops and kilns, is worth the trip on its own. Overlooking the sea, the Ksar el Bahr, a fortress from the Portuguese era, stands guard over the harbour. Surfers know the town for its renowned waves, and the coastline around it offers wide views over the Atlantic.

Which model for the pottery capital
People often come to Safi for the potters’ hill and the National Ceramics Museum, and rarely leave empty-handed: serving dishes, decorative tagines, glazed tiles. Boot space then becomes a real criterion. The Range Rover Sport and the Audi Q8 have room to lay fragile boxes flat instead of stacking them.
If you are travelling as a couple with light luggage, the Range Rover Evoque is easier to park near the medina and the Ksar el Bahr, the Portuguese fortress facing the sea. Whichever you choose, the automatic gearbox makes the sloping streets of the potters’ quarter far more relaxed.
