Ten days is the ideal length for a grand Moroccan loop: enough to travel from the imperial cities to the Sahara dunes, not so much that you lose a relaxed pace. And when you cover more than a thousand kilometres of varied roads, your choice of vehicle changes everything. Here is an itinerary designed for a luxury SUV, with a budget built on our real rates.

Days 1 and 2: Casablanca and Rabat

Collect your car at Mohammed V airport or at our Casablanca agency (Maarif). Take time to admire the Hassan II Mosque facing the ocean, then drive up to Rabat, the capital, for the Kasbah of the Udayas and the Hassan Tower.

Days 3 and 4: Meknes and Fes

Head east to Meknes and the nearby Roman site of Volubilis. Continue to Fes, whose medina is one of the largest in the world. A full day is not too much to get lost in its souks and tanneries.

Days 5 and 6: the Middle Atlas and the desert

The road crosses Ifrane and its cedar forests, climbs over the Middle Atlas, then descends to the palm groves of the Ziz. At the end lie Merzouga and the dunes of Erg Chebbi. It is a long stage where the comfort of a large SUV really pays off. For sand tracks, rely on local guides: our cars stay on tarmac.

Days 7 and 8: gorges and kasbahs

Head west via the Todra Gorge and the Dades Valley before reaching Ouarzazate. The ksar of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, deserves a visit at sunrise or sunset.

Days 9 and 10: Tizi n'Tichka and Marrakech

The Tizi n'Tichka pass offers one of the finest crossings of the High Atlas before you reach Marrakech, about 200 km further. You can return your car at Marrakech airport during agency opening hours.

Which SUV, and what budget?

Over ten days, our tiered rates work in your favour. All our vehicles are automatic with unlimited mileage, a 3-day minimum rental and a 30000 MAD deposit for the models below.

  • Land Rover Range Rover Sport 2025 (diesel): 2300 MAD/day from 7 days, i.e. 23000 MAD for 10 days.
  • Maserati Levante 2026 (petrol): 2000 MAD/day from 7 days, i.e. 20000 MAD for 10 days.
  • Audi Q8 2025 (diesel): 2100 MAD/day, i.e. 21000 MAD for 10 days.
  • Porsche Macan 2026 (petrol): 1800 MAD/day from 7 days, i.e. 18000 MAD for 10 days.
  • Land Rover Range Rover Evoque 2025 (diesel): 1300 MAD/day, i.e. 13000 MAD for 10 days.

These amounts cover the rental only; fuel, tolls and accommodation are extra. On such a long loop, a diesel engine like those of the Range Rover Sport or Audi Q8 means fewer fuel stops.
