Two ways to travel

Discerning travellers in Morocco often ask the same question: is it better to take the wheel of a fine car or to leave the road to a driver? There is no universal answer. It depends on the pace of your stay, how much you enjoy driving and the freedom you want. Here is how we help you decide, based on what our fleet actually offers.

The case for independence

All our cars are rented without a driver, with an automatic gearbox and unlimited mileage. In practice, you leave when you like, stop where you like and change your route without telling anyone. For a stay that links several cities, a detour along the coast or a spontaneous getaway, that flexibility is worth a lot. The BMW 5 Series M Sport, for example, is a five-seat diesel sedan from 1500 MAD/day, available in Casablanca 24/7, with a minimum rental of 3 days. It is the kind of car that makes long drives pleasant rather than tiring.

Driving yourself does mean accepting heavy traffic in the big cities, finding parking and staying alert on secondary roads. If you enjoy driving, that is not an obstacle but part of the journey.

When a driver makes sense

A driver can be offered on request, subject to availability. We never present it as a guaranteed option: it needs to be discussed with us when you book. It suits busy schedules best, when you would rather work or rest on the road, or when nobody in the group wants to drive in an unfamiliar city. We do not quote a price for this service here: every request is assessed individually.

How to decide

  • Your schedule: many city meetings point to a driver; a free-form road trip points to self-drive.
  • Your love of driving: a sedan such as the BMW 5 Series or the Mercedes CLA 220, from 1000 MAD/day, is made to be driven.
  • Privacy: alone at the wheel, your conversations and timings stay your own.
  • Logistics: depending on the model, several of our cars can be collected at the Casablanca agency (Maarif) or at the airports of Casablanca Mohammed V, Rabat, Marrakech, Agadir, Fès, Tanger, Nador and Oujda.

Our advice

For most multi-day stays, self-drive rental offers the best balance of comfort and freedom. If your schedule demands it, simply ask about a driver when you enquire and we will tell you honestly what is possible on your dates. In every case, plan for the deposit shown on the car’s page, for example 30000 MAD for the BMW 5 Series M Sport.
