Travelling together, at your own pace

Morocco is wonderful for family travel: imperial cities, Atlantic beaches, mountains and palm groves follow one another within a few hours’ drive. With children, the car becomes far more than a means of transport: it is where you spend a good part of the day. It might as well be comfortable.

Why a luxury SUV

All our SUVs have 5 seats, an automatic gearbox and unlimited mileage. The Audi Q8, for example, is a diesel SUV from 2100 MAD/day, with a 30000 MAD deposit and a minimum rental of 3 days. Its high driving position, roomy cabin and generous boot make long stages easier for everyone. Other models work very well too: the Land Rover Range Rover Sport (from 2000 MAD/day with long-term rates), the Range Rover Evoque (from 1300 MAD/day) or the Porsche Macan (from 1400 MAD/day from 30 days).

One important point: our cars have 5 seats. A family of five with luggage therefore needs to travel light. Choose soft bags rather than large hard-shell suitcases.

Child seats

We cannot state here whether child seats or boosters are available. If you are travelling with young children, ask when you book and we will give you a precise answer for your dates and chosen model. You can also bring your own seat if you prefer.

Planning the stages

  • Short stages: with children, it is best to limit driving to a few hours a day and to plan regular breaks.
  • Early starts: morning drives are often more pleasant, especially in the warmer months.
  • Water and snacks: always within reach in the cabin.
  • A convenient starting point: depending on the model, you can collect the car at the Casablanca agency (Maarif) or at the airports of Casablanca Mohammed V, Rabat, Marrakech, Agadir, Fès, Tanger, Nador and Oujda. Returns take place during the agency’s opening hours.

A sample itinerary

Starting from Casablanca, a loop via Rabat and Fès before heading down to Marrakech shows you several sides of the country in one or two weeks. For rentals of 7 days or more, some models have decreasing rates: the Range Rover Sport, for instance, drops to 2300 MAD/day from 7 days. Unlimited mileage leaves you free to add a detour to the coast if the children ask for the beach.
