Two prestige SUVs of the same size

The Porsche Macan and the Maserati Grecale play in the same league: prestige compact SUVs with petrol engines, automatic gearboxes and five seats. In our fleet, both are rented from Casablanca, with unlimited mileage and without a driver. Yet depending on the length of your stay, one or the other will be the better deal. Here is the comparison, with figures.

Porsche Macan: the better value over time

Our Porsche Macan is a 2026 model, available in grey and white. Its base price is 2000 MAD/day, but it follows clearly decreasing rates: 1800 MAD/day from 7 days, 1500 MAD/day from 15 days and 1400 MAD/day from 30 days. In other words, from 1400 MAD/day for a one-month rental. The deposit is 30000 MAD and the minimum rental is 3 days; the excess is confirmed when you book.

The Macan suits people who enjoy driving: a compact footprint, practical in town and on the motorway, and a sporty signature recognisable anywhere.

Maserati Grecale: a fixed price, Italian style

Our Maserati Grecale is a 2025 model, in white. Its rate is fixed: 1800 MAD/day, whatever the length of the rental. The deposit is 30000 MAD, the excess 45000 MAD, and the minimum rental 3 days.

The Grecale wins people over with its Italian look and a carefully finished cabin. For a short stay, it is the more affordable of the two: at 1800 MAD/day, it costs less than the Macan as long as the rental lasts under 7 days.

The maths by rental length

  • 3 to 6 days: Grecale at 1800 MAD/day, Macan at 2000 MAD/day. Grecale wins.
  • 7 to 14 days: both at 1800 MAD/day. A tie on price.
  • 15 to 29 days: Macan at 1500 MAD/day, Grecale at 1800 MAD/day. Macan wins.
  • 30 days and more: Macan at 1400 MAD/day, Grecale at 1800 MAD/day. Macan wins.

Over a long 4-day weekend, the Grecale therefore comes to 7200 MAD against 8000 MAD for the Macan. Over a 30-day month, the Macan comes to 42000 MAD against 54000 MAD for the Grecale.

Pick-up and return

Both models can be collected at the Casablanca agency (Maarif) or at the airports of Casablanca Mohammed V, Rabat, Marrakech, Agadir, Fes, Tangier, Nador and Oujda. Returns take place during the agency's opening hours. Handy for a trip that starts the moment your plane lands.

So which one?

For a short stay and an elegant arrival, the Maserati Grecale is the more economical. For a stay of two weeks or more, or if you simply want to drive a Porsche, the Macan becomes the best balance between pleasure and budget. And if you are still undecided, the deposit is the same — 30000 MAD — for both.
