When the summer heat eases, Morocco enters one of its finest seasons. Days stay mild, the light softens and the cultural and sporting calendar fills up. Here are the major events from October to December 2026 whose dates have been announced by the organisers, with a few ideas for reaching them behind the wheel of a premium car.

13 to 18 October: the El Jadida Horse Show

The 17th edition of the Salon du Cheval takes place at the Mohammed VI Exhibition Park in El Jadida. Show jumping, equestrian arts and the tbourida tradition celebrate the deep bond between Morocco and the horse. El Jadida lies about 100 km south of Casablanca by motorway: a car collected at our Maarif agency or at Mohammed V airport gets you there in just over an hour. The town itself deserves a stop for its Portuguese City, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

25 October: the Casablanca International Marathon

The 17th edition of the marathon crosses the economic capital. Whether running or cheering, expect some main roads to be closed on race day: park your car the day before and walk or take the tram that Sunday. A comfortable saloon such as the Mercedes CLA 220 (from 1000 MAD/day) or the BMW 5 Series M Sport (from 1500 MAD/day) is ideal for getting around town on the other days.

20 to 28 November: the Marrakech International Film Festival

The 23rd edition brings filmmakers and film lovers together around a competition devoted to first and second films. Arriving in Marrakech in an elegant SUV such as the Maserati Levante (from 1500 MAD/day) or the Land Rover Range Rover Sport (from 2000 MAD/day) adds a touch of glamour to the stay. Both models can be collected at Marrakech airport.

And in December?

December is ideal for exploring Fès, Meknès and the imperial cities in peace, or heading south to the palm groves under often clear skies. In the mountains, nights turn cold: check the weather before crossing the Atlas passes.
